Cardiovascular disease is one of the leading health challenges worldwide, and effective remote patient monitoring strategies are key to preventing complications. The PRESSURE project is developing wearable, cuff‑less devices that allow continuous monitoring of heart rate, oxygen saturation, and blood pressure – both in the hospital and at home.
In this interview Lukas Dekker (Catharina Hospital, e/MTIC), Alex Serrarens (FreeSense Solutions), Henk Stapert (SmartQare), Jan-Pieter Izelaar (Eurocept) and Frans van de Vosse (TU/e, SMPE/e) discuss the need for smart solutions that can help clinicians detect complications earlier, optimize treatments, and enable patients to recover safely at home.
