About the project

Cardiovascular diseases are globally recognized as one of the leading causes of death. Hypertension stands out as a significant risk factor for their development, and targeted treatment can effectively reduce the risk of cardiovascular complications. The goal of the PRESSURE project is to achieve significant cost savings for cardiovascular patients who require intervention. This will be achieved by the development and implementation of a non-invasive, continuous, and cuffless blood pressure reconstruction based on PhotoPlethysmoGraphy (PPG) for perioperative and rehabilitative (home) patients, particulary those receiving cardiovascular care.
