FreeSense Solutions

FreeSense designs, develops, implements and markets wireless sensing technology, solutions and applications. This company fits into the megatrends of Internet of Things, Big Data and wearables. The mission of this Eindhoven-based company is to provide a leap in quality of life through cost-effective, personalised and smart sensing solutions and applications. Its expertise in sensors, wireless communication and software is invaluable for product development. FreeSense develops technological solutions for a multitude of domains (sport, health, care, leisure, work, education) however, together with development and marketing partners, focuses mainly on the healthcare domain. The philosophy here is “what works, is certified and applied in the medical domain can certainly also be applied in an adapted form in other domains”. Conversely, this is not possible.

smartQare

SmartQare is a young company with passionate professionals who share a mission to enable people to continue to live their lives as they are used to doing, stay healthy and active and feel safer. They are based at the Microlab on Kastanjelaan in Eindhoven, among other locations. The smartQare team works with passion, unique partnerships and believes in using technological innovation to enable more efficient, effective and sustainable personalised care. SmartQare has developed a solution for 24/7 monitoring of patients in healthcare facilities and at home, consisting of an upper arm wearable, a platform and dashboards (apps and online dashboard). This solution has been CE certified since August 2022. This solution is currently being deployed in several living labs.

TU/e (EAISI)

The Eindhoven Al Systems Institute brings together all Al activities at TU/e. More than 300 top researchers from different research groups work together interdisciplinarily on new Al applications with a direct impact on the real world. EAISI focuses on the use of data and algorithms in machines, such as robots, autonomous cars and medical devices, which has always been a strong aspect of TU/e and the Brainport region of Eindhoven. In addition, EAISI focuses on the interaction between humans and systems, including reliable and transparent methods that result in moral and ethical Al. EAISI has defined three main application areas: Health, high-tech systems and mobility. EAISI brings together Al researchers, students, and industrial partners to contribute to solutions to societal challenges through research projects.

Eurocept

Eurocept, founded in 2001, is a leader in providing customised hospital transferred care. Eurocept Homecare is one of the largest providers of specialist medical at-home treatment in the Netherlands. We combine a pharmaceutical wholesaler, a community pharmacy, a national network of nurses and a patient-focused logistics service. We supply medical specialised medicines as well as medical devices. Our services are commissioned by specialists, hospitals, dieticians, nurses, patients, health insurers and pharmaceutical companies. We strive to minimise disruption to daily life. Being who you are regardless of the condition and or medical (aid) resources you need or have. Eurocept Homecare is therefore the hospital at home. Our aim is to make patients’ lives more pleasant by providing high-quality care in the home. With the help of in-house developed platform PlazaConnect, the medical specialist is able to request and track hospital-displaced care and thus keep control of the status of treatment.

Catharina Ziekenhuis

Catharina Hospital is a teaching hospital, highly specialised in cardiovascular diseases, cancer, kidney and obesity. The Catharina Heart and Vascular Centre is the largest cardiovascular centre in the Netherlands, and has its own Research & Development department where they are constantly researching new treatment methods and medicines. The Catharina Heart and Vascular Centre has developed into a nationally and internationally known and respected specialist centre.

Elkerliek Ziekenhuis

Elkerliek Hospital is a modern, general hospital with four locations in Helmond, Deurne, Asten and Gernert. The hospital has about 350 beds and employs over 150 medical specialists.
